It's hard to believe it, but the winter edition of S.W.A.T. 2010 is half over already! (Even harder to believe might be that winter itself seems to be totally over.) Students have been scribbling away in twelve schools across the city of Toronto for five full weeks now under the tutelage of our twelve amazing writers-in-residence (the full list of our schools and writers can be viewed here).
S.W.A.T. — as you probably know if you read this blog — stands for Students, Writers And Teachers: the three groups of people collaborating to give the young people of Toronto a voice through writing!
We are currently in the midst of Week 6 of S.W.A.T. and our student participants are already creating some fantabulous written work! After last week's launch of The Barracuda, we can't wait to see what this year's batch of students will end up publishing in next year's anthology!
So students: remember, you can submit your work online at any time over the next five weeks to have it considered for publication in The Capybara! We welcome any creative writing and if you can't login you can always ask Rachel for troubleshooting tips! And don't forget to keep writing!
