Unbeknownst to the world we've been super secretly working in the office the last few weeks to bring you what will most definitely be a Holiday Celebration Extravaganza. And guess what...

Taking place at 7 PM Wednesday, December 9th at the Free Times Cafe (320 College St), this will be THE event of the season. Seriously. You have to come.
While we may be known for our awesome writing skills at NOW HEAR THIS!, some of us have been hiding some pretty great talents that expand outside of the literary forum.
One of those people who's been hiding extra-awesome skills is Joseph Maviglia. A S.W.A.T. writer in 2007 and 2008, Joseph has returned to NOW HEAR THIS! as one of our WRITE ON! workshop writers. Not only is he an accomplished poet but he is also a stellar singer-songwriter. (He even snagged a Juno Award!)
Another amazing S.W.A.T. and WRITE ON! writer who's been squirreling away multiple talents is Chris Eaton. Mild-mannered writer by day, Chris is a rockstar by night! Lead-vocalist, guitar AND banjo player for Rock Plaza Central, Chris has been keeping busy touring with the band and, you know, showing up in Rolling Stone magazine.
So what does all this talent have to do with our Holiday Celebration Extravaganza? Well, both Joseph Maviglia and Chris Eaton have lovingly agreed to grace the stage--guitars in hand--at the Free Times Cafe in honour of celebrating the season with us. (Aren't they sweet?)
We'll also be giving away a few books donated to us by This Ain't the Rosedale Library. (We love them!) This will also be your first chance to take a peek at the new buttons, t-shirts and sweaters that we've been making. Betcha didn't know we had swag!
Oh, and did we mention the free hors d'oeuvres and drinks? We didn't? Well, then, don't tell anyone...
