






If you've been following this blog lately then you know that S.W.A.T. 2010 is only 10 days away! We've been excited about our awesome and amazingly talented roster of writers for a few weeks, and now it's finally time to officially announce the 2010 S.W.A.T. Writer-in-Residence lineup.
We are so proud to have twelve such fantastic writers working with our program. There can be no doubt that with this group of talent, S.W.A.T. 2010 is going to be a huge, immensely fun, success!

We are pleased to welcome back seven returning writers who have participated in previous years:
- Devon Code, author of the short story collection In a Mist (Invisible Publishing, 2007)
- Desi Di Nardo, author of the poetry collection The Plural of Some Things (Guernica, 2008)
- Colin Frizzell, author of the young adult novels Chill (Orca Soundings, 2006) and Just J (Orca Book Publishers, 2007)
- Larry Frolick, journalist and author, most recently, of the non-fiction account Bastard Eden / Our Chernobyl (Portland, 2008)
- Rebecca Rosenblum, author of the short story collection Once (Biblioasis, 2008)
- Julia Tausch, author of the novel Another Book About Another Broken Heart (Conundrum, 2003)
- Aaron Tucker, author of poems published in journals and magazines across Canada
Joining them will be five fantastic writers joining the S.W.A.T. team for the first time:
- Elisabeth de Marriaffi, author of the cookbook Eat It Up! Lip-Smacking Recipes for Kids (Owlkids Books, 2004) and the chapbook Letter on St. Valentine's Day (Emergency Response Unit, 2009)
- Adrienne Gruber, author of the poetry collection This Is The Nightmare (Thistledown Press, 2008)
- Nic Labriola, author of the poetry collection Naming The Mannequins (Insomniac Press, 2009)
- Angela Szczepaniak, author of the poetry collection Unisex Love Poems (DC Books, 2008)
- Natalie Zina Walschots, author of the poetry collection Thumbscrews (Snare Books, 2007)
