The Barracuda features work by nearly 60 talented students from all across the city of Toronto. This beautifully designed, 192-page anthology contains student-written poetry, short stories, dialogues & personal essays, as well as accompanying texts from a selection of last year’s 13 talented writers-in-residence, who reflect on their experiences working with these gifted young authors — including Desi Di Nardo, Larry Frolick, Rebecca Rosenblum and others; a selection of illustrations interspersed throughout the book created by local talent Marc Ngui (of Bumblenut Pictures) are also included.

The launch of The Barracuda will be a celebration of our fantastic student writers and a toast to the continued success of NOW HEAR THIS! — and best of all, it is a free event! Be sure to join us for a night of food, friends and readings — free stickers and 1” buttons will be on hand for all, and discounted copies of the anthology will be available for purchase!
